“Here we stand on Wardandi land, with respect in our hearts, hand in hand.
This is the earth. There is the sky. These are my friends. And here am I.”
We stood in a circle and acknowledged country, with our hands on our hearts, connecting ourselves to the earth and to each other. Walking the surrounding bushland together as friends and family, we gathered found objects from nature.
A leaf…
A feather…
A gum nut or two.
Then after some time we all sat down to wrap our collections symbolic of the journey we took through the bush, and shared with others our discoveries.
